For nearly two decades — 19 Christmases?! — Zara Bodē and Stefan Amidon have been on the road during the holidays, bringing their music, their joy, and that unmistakable sparkle of the season to towns big and small.

While many of us have been sipping cocoa by the fire and wrapping presents, they’ve been packing up vans, playing their hearts out, and giving others the gift of music, magic, and connection. Whether you’ve spent a season singing with The Amidon Family, The Sweetback Sisters, or The Country Christmas Sing Along Spectacular, the Amidon & Bodē family music has been a treasured tradition for all of us.

This year, things are different.

Zara and Stefan are walking through a very tender season, having just lost their beloved father and father-in-law, Peter Amidon. As they wade through this immense grief, they have made the tough decision to step away from the stage this holiday season and nestle in the quiet comfort of home, allowing them to be close to family and to care for one another.

They also dream of reigniting their creative energies and look forward to making another album in the New Year, bringing even more comfort and joy to our ears and hearts. But as full-time touring musicians, stepping off the stage — even for a season — means stepping away from the income that supports their lives.

That’s where WE come in.

Together we can give their home (comprised of their two darling children + Zara’s sweet Grandpa) the gift of a peaceful season, free from their holiday financial worries. No tour vans breaking down. No crazy tight schedules. Just stillness, reflection, and the healing that only Christmas at home can bring.

Our hope is that our donations will not only help recoup the loss of a cancelled touring season, but also help create their band’s next Country Christmas Sing-Along Spectacular album, with the amazing Ross Bellenoit producing. It’s the gift keeps giving… in the most musical, magical way.
